First, the billing rate you choose is multiplied by collection rate selected, (70% to 90%). Next, the number of admissions per year at your hospital is multiplied by 60%, (which is the average rental percentage rate for most hospitals). Then, the 60% rental rate is multiplied by 5, (which is the average patient stay). Finally, once the "Calculate" button is clicked, the two numbers are multiplied to give you the average net cost recovery. Calculator not working?
