Our History
United Telemanagement Corporation is an Ohio Corporation formed in
December 1990. UTC started by providing billing service for bedside
communication charges (phone/TV) that patients incur during their
hospital stay. These communication charges are billed on a separate
bill page as a line item of HOSP TEL CHG on their home telephone bill.
This service is convenient for patients and improves collections for
hospitals.
UTC can now bill 95% of the telephone numbers listed and unlisted
throughout the United States. In May 1992 UTC put its first hospital
online. After six months, UTC signed 14 hospitals for service. UTC
is now serving millions of patients in hospitals in 36 states, and
rapidly expanding operations daily.
The evolution of automated systems gives patients the ability to self
activate phone/TV at bedside. Automated billing has given UTC an edge
over its competition. Efficient hospital revenue distribution - accurate
accounting - networking with hospital associations, purchasing groups
of low turnover employees has given UTC important infrastructure for
growth and stability. |
